A Day of Heavenly Praise and Gratitude at ACK Mutitu Parish

At ACK Mutitu Parish, a day of celestial praise unfolded, resonating with the readings from the last five Psalms known as the Psalms of Hallelujah. Among them, Psalm 148 was particularly highlighted, emphasizing the dual aspect of praise.

Heavenly Praise

The first facet illuminated the celestial praises sung by angels. This was paralleled with the miraculous birth of Jesus, an event that caused the heavenly gates to open, momentarily allowing humanity to witness the divine praise. The Bishop passionately conveyed the importance of offering the best praises to God, echoing the celestial choir’s exultation.

Earthly Praise

The second dimension emphasized the earthly response to divine glory. It showcased both animate and inanimate creation glorifying God. This harmonized with the sentiments expressed in the Psalms and the celebration of Christ’s birth, inspiring attendees to echo this earthly praise through their lives and actions.

The special occasion included the retirement service of Peter Muthii, who served devotedly as a lay reader for 37 years. Additionally, the confirmation of 45 candidates added to the significance of the day, symbolizing the continuation of spiritual growth and commitment within the parish.

This celestial and earthly praise-filled day highlighted the significance of gratitude, service, and spiritual progression within ACK Mutitu Parish.
