God’s Word is Nearer Than Your Phone: Bishop Delivers Stirring Message at ACK Kiamugumo Confirmation Service

ACK Kiamugumo was blessed to host a Confirmation Service where the Bishop delivered a powerful sermon drawn from Exodus 30:10-15, themed “His Word is Nearer Than Your Phone.”

In an age where mobile phones have become a daily companion, the Bishop likened their constant presence in our lives to the ever-present Word of God—one that is more accurate, reliable, and accessible than any device.

He shared four key reasons why the Word of God is close and important to the life of a believer:

1. It Increases One’s Value
   Referencing Exodus 30, the Bishop reminded the faithful that obedience to God’s Word brings increase—be it in personal growth, family, or community impact. God’s promise is that everything one touches shall prosper through obedience.
2. It Has Sacred Requirements
   Verse 10 highlights the importance of obedience. The Bishop emphasized that keeping God’s Word activates eternal blessings, calling the congregation to live in a way that honors God’s commands.
3. It Is Not Far
   According to Exodus 30:11, the commandments are not hidden or distant—they are within reach. The Bishop encouraged the church not to complicate salvation, stressing that God’s intentions are clearly communicated to us.
4. It Is Within You
   Quoting Exodus 30:14, he reminded believers that the Word is already in their mouths and hearts. “It is nearer than your phone,” he declared, urging the congregation to reflect on their walk with Christ and respond to the call of salvation.

The service concluded with an altar call, inviting believers to embrace the simplicity of salvation and walk in obedience. It was a time of spiritual renewal and heartfelt response.
