🕊️ KAYO Day – Kirinyaga DioceseTheme: Renewal of the New Man

📖 Text: Ephesians 4:20–24
📍 Hosted by: Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph K. Kibucwa
🎤 Sermon by: Rev. Capt. George – Nairobi Diocese
👥 Attendance: Approximately 3,000 youth

“But you have not so learned Christ…”
With these words from Ephesians 4:20, Paul urged believers to reflect on how they first came to know Christ — in truth, in purity, and with a transformed mind. This year’s KAYO Day carried that same spirit, calling youth into a deeper renewal of their faith and character.

🔄 How Can the Mind Be Renewed?

Rev. Capt. George delivered a compelling sermon centered on three key pillars:

  1. Change Your Language
Christians are called to speak life, truth, and grace. The words of the world — harshness, vulgarity, lies — have no place in the believer’s vocabulary. Let your words reflect Christ.
  2. Dress Modestly
Modesty is not about dullness, but about dignity. The preacher cautioned against dressing in ways that exaggerate physical features or distract from Christian values. Our appearance should honor God.
  3. Uphold Purity
True renewal includes setting clear, holy boundaries in relationships with the opposite sex. “Guard your manhood and womanhood,” the preacher emphasized — these are sacred gifts to God and to humanity.

In a world pressing youth toward compromise, this sermon was a timely call to return to the original teachings of Christ and walk as renewed men and women in Him.

Final Exhortation:
“As Paul called the Ephesians to relearn Christ, so must we — not as the world teaches, but as we first knew Him: holy, true, and transforming.”
