Fortune Sacco urges Kirinyaga county gov’t to improve state of sports grounds

Kenya Premier League newbie Fortune Sacco are pleading with the National and Kirinyaga county government to improve the state of sports grounds in the county which are in deplorable condition.

According to the club’s chief executive officer Timothy Muthike, most of the grounds do not meet the required threshold set by the league management body and much is needed to scale them up and are is calling on local leaders to do the lobbying.

“Like now we have Kirinyaga grounds where we have been playing and honestly speaking it is not even good for National Super League games leave alone Premier League. Therefore, major improvements of some of these grounds is needed,” said Muthike.
